Simple wedding dress 2021
There is a beautiful video on Youtube entitled "100 years of fashion: wedding dresses" that traces the bridal fashion since 1915. This is a model whose dress is changing according to the past decade, it is very interesting and we recommend that you see! We went through eras of high-top gloves, crowns, lace, uncovered ankles, bulky shoulder pads and arrived in the 2010s with increasingly simple and linear lines.
Next year this minimalist concept will be taken to the extreme, because the woman we saw on the catwalks of 2021 is ether, sober and very elegant. Many of the wedding dresses presented are simple, smooth, minimalist. The waist is adorned with very thin belts and the necklines are sweet or deeply sexy. For the more casual there are even palazzo suits and pants. The most essential wedding dresses are in bright mikado, crepe or very light tulle and organza barrè. For many designers, pure white is back on the catwalk.
Wedding dress 2021 in very light fabrics
Another trend that made us dream on the catwalks of VBBFW 2020 were the wedding dresses with light fabrics, with overlapping ruffles. The tulle conquers all the fabrics, often creating contrasts between the nude and the white. For brides who dream of a more fluid effect, the main fabric is the crepe stretch. Next year we will see in the workshops many dresses with soft skirts and declined in boho style, more classic or ultra modern.
Wedding dress with transparency
In 2021, the lightness of the fabrics, such as tulle or crepe, will be accompanied by very delicate lace designed to create sensual and stunning transparencies. Precious fabrics, which look embroidered on the skin, will accompany the silhouette of a sensual and self-confident woman. The transparencies, mainly associated with mermaid wedding dress, will be precious brocades, floral embroidery and illusion necklines. In this gallery you will find a selection of wedding dresses with transparencies from 2021.
Wedding dress with voluminous skirts
Parallel and totally opposed to the minimalist trend, in 2021 will also be presented wedding dresses with dramatically voluminous skirts. Clouds of fabric that leave nothing to be desired even to the most classic princess dresses. The skirts are in very light fabrics such as tulle or smooth, such as mikado, detail that gives personality to the look, totally respecting the classic lines. Princess-cut wedding dresses will never cease to be the brides' favourites and next year we will focus on the intensity of extravagance without ending up in excess. On the catwalks of designers such as Zuhair Murad, Pronovias or Rosa Clará we saw many voluminous skirts, both smooth, as with floral details and embroidery or precious reliefs.
Wedding dress with removable skirt
Having become world famous thanks to Dior, after chiara ferragni's wedding, the detachable skirts will remain present in 2021. These types of wedding dresses, defined as 2 in 1, give the bride the opportunity to have a real exchange of dress. They are suitable for the ceremony that requires a more elegant costume and for the celebrations that will leave the bride freer. The 2-in-1 dresses are composed of a base and a skirt that makes the transition. A wedding dress with removable skirt means that you have the ability to wear the dress of your dreams and change its appearance without sacrificing style.
Wedding dress with featured sleeves
They accompany the dress, give a touch of femininity and delicacy and for some years now make the wedding dresses even more sophisticated and almost ready-to-wear, yes, we are talking about the sleeves. Next year, they will continue to triumph and there will be models for all styles. At VBBFW we saw wedding dresses with open sleeves on the arms, with cuffs, dropped sleeves on the shoulders, wide sleeves, long sleeves or 3/4, maxi ruffles in satin organza or small ruffled ruffles on the armpits, Japanese sleeves in embroidered tulle, etc... Sometimes, however, they are very simple, but in the cuffs bring details in precious stones or brodé embroidery. You can bet on bohemian style wedding dresses with short or French sleeves, balloon sleeves, wide sleeve and gigot.
